Bio a historie
The Slovak band HYSTERIC HELEN (original name HELPLINES) was formed in the year 2000 in one of Bratislava´s garages. The founding members were DIRTY77 and CARLOS. In the year 2001 the band released 7-songs demo recorded at unsuitable quality, therefore it has never been put on the stock. After unsuccessful looking for related souls and permanent exchange of not suitable band members in the band, DIRTY and CARLOS definatelly decided to become duo. In the end of the year 2003 the name of the band is changed into HYSTERIC HELEN. It´s not easy to identify the band´s style on first hearing, but we may hear the influence of new wave-postpunk-goth´s bands the 80´s in their music.
In January 2004 the band released their first CD single LATEX ROMANCE in limited edition. The single was determined to be used only for promo purposes. After more than a year´s break DIRTY77 and CARLOS decided on continuing to make life harder with their music and in march 2005 their 4 songs CDEP was finally recorded and released. Its name is ORIGINAL SNUFF SOUNDTRACK, aimed at public and potential fans. After releasing of this single, the band has gained its fans. The first official concert was held in May 2005 in Bratislava. The band´s following concerts were in Vienna(A), Budapest(H), Prague(CZ), Bern(CH), Leipzig(D)... The band despite its short stage period, played with the bands like Cinema Strange (USA), Noblesse Oblige (D), The Last Days Of Jesus (SK), Die Perlen (D), Tragic Black (USA), New Days Delay (D)... In the end of the year 2005 the third CD(EP) UNIDENTIFIED FETISH OBJECT was released.
New member Ms.VALENTINE entered the band as a singer and keys player. She had cooperated with the band as a guest before. In April 2012, HYSTERIC HELEN released the fourth CD single DEADLINE. The band at the turn of 2011/2012 in the studio recorded the first (debut) album. They released this album under their own label HYSTERIC HELEN RECORDS on September 15, 2013. After the release of the album, the band takes a break and CARLOS and Ms.VALENTINE gradually leave the band.
After a 10-year hiatus, on January 15, 2023, DIRTY77 (as an individual) wakes up HYSTERIC HELEN and releases a new single (including a video) under the name ESTRANGEMENT OF THE ORDINARY. The band doesn't perform live yet, it works as Dirty77's studio project.
On October 1, 2023, another single (including a video) will be released under the name "THE JUNKIE FAMILY".
As the B side of the single, the song "NO SEX WITH" is in a special version. It is an older song that has only been played in live concerts so far and has never been released. The song has a female vocal, which was sung
by ANGIE as a guest of the band.
Currently, Dirty77 is preparing material for recording a new album.
