Bio a historie
Vo februári 2008 sa členovia troch rôznych kapiel z Banskej Bystrice a Zvolena rozhodli spojiť a vytvoriť niečo spoločné. Rôznorodosť troch charakterov, silná vôľa, obrovská energia a rovnaké cítenie pre hudbu vytvorilo nový celok, Genevas. V auguste toho roku sa v Miro Spevák Studios rozbehlo nahrávanie prvého EP 2008, ktoré sa v novembri, hneď po internetovom release stretlo s mimoriadne pozitívnou odozvou. Každá z piatich skladieb EP si našla miesto u poslucháčov. V tej dobe dostali Genevas pozvánku od priateľov Plastic Swans na ich koncert spojený s krstom EP, kde vystúpili ako čerešnička na torte. Na konci roka 2008 bolo spomínané EP doplnené o klavírnu verziu skladby Recognize.
V prvom polroku 2009 odohrali Genevas mnoho koncertov, z ktorých stojí za to spomenúť Biele noci tour s HT a Vandalmi, ďalej Benefičný koncert pre detskú onkológiu pred vyše tisíc študentmi gymnázií, tiež júnový headline na Yná Sobota Street Festivale a napokon účinkovanie na festivale pri Karlových Varoch. V auguste sa, tradične, rozbieha nahrávanie EP 2009 s prvou slovenskou skladbou Milión krát. Na jeseň 2009 Genevas odštartovali sériu koncertov s bratislavskou kapelou Pixie and the Devils. Následnú šnúru štyroch koncertov v Bratislave, vrátane nezabudnuteľného koncertu v študentskom klube Elam, prerušil vianočný benefičný unplugged koncert v Banskej Bystrici. Nápad a realizácia prišli zo strany Genevas, výťažok bol venovaný Svetielku Nádeje.
V súčasnosti sa chystá kapela na koncerty po mnohých slovenských mestách a pripravuje nový materiál, ktorý už čoskoro vyjde na svetlo sveta.
